Mr. Scott Andrew McKinley, age 49, of Indianapolis, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on June 6, 1969 to Jeff McKinley and Carol Ann (Landes) Richardson in Anderson, Indiana.
Scott was a graduate of Carmel High School, Class of 1987. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy for 7 years, and the U.S. Air National Guard for 6 years. In the 13 years he served, Scott received numerous awards, medals, and ribbons. Scott was a laborer at Allison Transmission for 5 years. He enjoyed listening to music and playing guitar, was an avid reader and was passionate about learning new things. Scott loved playing with his dogs Jack and Heidi, enjoyed relaxing with his family, being outdoors and shooting guns.
Scott will be missed greatly by many, including his loving significant other, Karen Davidson; his loving son, Seth Davidson; his father, Jeff McKinley and his wife Carolyn; his step-father, Art Richardson and his wife Tawny; his aunts, Linda Miller and her husband Charles, Denise Landes, and Nancy Billman and her husband Scott; and his dear friends, Roger and Peggy Moore, David Davidson and Dave Davidson.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Carol Ann Richardson; maternal grandparents, Milo and Emma Landes, and paternal grandparents, Gerald “Bud” and Martha McKinley.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Indiana Funeral Care – Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250. A Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please direct memorial contributions to Karen and Seth Davidson. Indiana Funeral Care entrusted with arrangements.
